Location
The Solid Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) is located 4 miles east of Moscow on Hwy 8.

Hours: Monday—Saturday, 8am-4pm

Commercial haulers, households with large amounts of yard waste, and out-of-county residents may drop off materials for composting at no charge.

Moscow Recycling

Location
Bins are located off N. Almon St., behind Moscow Recycling at 401 N. Jackson.

Hours: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Yard Waste Bins are for Latah County
Households ONLY
(1 truck load per day). No commercial or out-of-county materials allowed. Please use the Solid Waste Processing Facility located 4 miles east of Moscow on Hwy 8.

 

Acceptable Yard Trimmings
• Leaves
• Branches maximum 4’ long or 6” in diameter (can be any length if taken to the SWPF)
• Grass Clippings
• Weeds
• Brush/Shrub Trimmings
• Christmas Trees maximum 5’ tall or 6” diameter
• Bark

Unacceptable Yard Trimmings
• Branches greater than 4’ long or 6” in diameter
• Stumps, dirt, or rocks
• Plastic bags, boxes or twine
• Kitchen waste or food scraps
• Food-contaminated items
• Pet feces/Manure
• Lumber/Construction Debris
• Sod
