BUSINESS RECYCLING

Here’s a list of who you need to reach out to, which messages to use, and some tools you can use. All commercial properties are different and not all of these guidelines will apply. Use what is right for your business.

CUSTODIAL STAFF

Whether you have in-house custodians, a service contract, or do it yourself.

DO: Throw loose recyclables into your recycling cart or dumpster.

Recycle cardboard, bottles and jugs, metal containers, and paper (office/copier paper, newspapers, magazines and catalogs). Empty the recycling bin into the recycling tote or dumpster without using a bag.

DON’T: Bag recycled material before placing in cart or dumpster.

EMPLOYEES/STAFF

All employees or staff members of a business, school, etc.

DO: Throw only accepted items into the recycling bin.
