BULKY WASTE SITES

BULKY WASTE SITES

BULKY WASTE SITES FAQ:

WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ACCEPTED?

All paper, plastic, cardboard, foam, styrofoam, pre-treated wood, loose insulation,  household garbage, animal/game waste, hazardous materials, and medical/infectious wastes are not accepted at the Bulky Waste Sites. Please call LSI for proper disposal of these types of waste.

WHAT ITEMS ARE ACCEPTED?

Non-plastic furniture, appliances (except for dishwashers), mattresses, car parts, demolition debris, tree stumps/branches, and tires are accepted. Any accepted item that will not fit into a standard garbage can should be taken to a Bulky Waste Site.

WHAT IS A BULKY WASTE SITE?

The Bulky Waste Sites (in Latah County) and the One Stop Drop Stations (Nez Perce County) were created to allow rural residents to dispose of items too large to be put out with their household garbage. All residential accounts are encouraged to use driveway service weekly.

WHO CAN USE THE BULKY WASTE SITES?

Troy and rural Moscow residents may now use the Transfer Station. All Bovill, Deary, Genesee, Juliaetta, Kendrick, Onaway, Potlatch and Rural Latah County households may use the Bulky Waste Sites. This service is available for Latah County residents at no charge.  Businesses and residents of the city of Moscow do not pay into the Bulky Waste Site system and are not permitted to use the Bulky Waste Sites. Moscow residents should take their bulky items directly to the Solid Waste Processing Facility on Hwy 8 for disposal. Call LSI for information and fees.

ARE THERE LIMITS TO ITEMS?

Bulky Waste Sites are limited to 4 passenger tires and 2 appliances per Saturday. E-waste (TVs, monitors, CPUs or towers, and laptop/notebook) will no longer be accepted and must be recycled at Moscow Recycling.
